Jan has been on the Community Thanksgiving Dinner (CTD) board since the spring of 2004. She volunteered at her first dinner in November 2003.
In addition to the CTD she has been a volunteer at The Bridge in Topeka for 9 years along with serving in the community, at the Rescue Mission, Robinson Middle School and Fellowship Bible Church. She has been to Central America to drill water wells in Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua.
She is a database administrator for the Department of Transportation and teaches basket weaving at retreats and in her home studio. She has 3 grown children, two dogs and a husband who keeps her hopping. In their spare time they like to camp, kayak, cycle and anything outdoors will do. Their kids are in other states so travel is opportunities are plentiful.
